Choose the effect and fixture format
A single-cell blinder suits designs that need separate light points or small modular groups. A dual-cell fixture puts two sources in one body and adds a different visual rhythm. The BEAM TECHNICA single-cell fixture uses one 400 W RGBAL COB source; the dual-cell FX model uses two 400 W RGBAL COB sources and two white strips, each divided into eight sections.
Compare fixture consumption, rather than LED labels
LED-source wattage and mains consumption are separate figures. Maximum fixture consumption is 430 W for the single-cell model and 700 W for the dual-cell FX model, both specified at 230 V AC. Plan circuits from the fixture's electrical data and the installation requirements.
Specify the lens configuration
The single-cell model lists 80° native, 33° Fresnel and 63° frost optics. The dual-cell model lists 50° native, 37° Fresnel and 45° frost optics. Select the coverage and lens option for the intended throw distance before comparing illuminance.
Plan control and physical assembly
Both models support DMX512 and RDM, 16-bit dimming and Red Shift emulation. The dual-cell FX model offers separate strip sections and manual cell pan adjustment of ±20°. Check the selected DMX mode, mounting configuration, fixture count and cabling as one system. IP65 protection still requires suitable connectors, rigging and operating conditions.
